How Freakin' Cute!

I just took this video tonight and I just had to add it ASAP because it is so freakin' cute.  I love how excited Sterling is to make his sister laugh.  What I love is how Sterling is the only one that can make Emy laugh.  LOVE IT!

Gallery Wall

I have always loves the look of gallery walls in peoples' homes.  I decided to do one with printed photos from the New York Library in my nursery.  I love love love the collection of photos and will share in another blog some of my favourites up close and personal.  Emy and Sterling love getting their diapers changed on our home made diaper change table because they always have something to look at and it always give me something to look at.  P.s. it isn't as squampish and out of skew as it seems in this photo.  I just couldn't seem to take a photo that made it all look even.
On the home front, here are the kiddies as they look today.  Look at how big Emy is getting!!! My little girl is already 4 months old and charming all the little boys with her sweet smile.  By 4 months old Sterling's personality was really shining through.  He was super goofy and laughed at everything which is still the exact same personality today.  He is going to be the class clown.  If it holds true for Emy, she will be such a little sweetheart.  She doesn't laugh even a quarter as much as Sterling did by this age but she always, and I mean always has a smile for you.  Don't get me wrong, she is still definitely a little dive.  I knew my children could not escape the Gibb temperament (by which I mean they both have a super hot temper just like their Mama).  She is just constantly talking and smiling and trying to make you smile.  I LOVE IT!  One child is definitely a blessing, but two really does make it feel more like a home (other then when I feel so overwhelmed by all the time it takes to raise two children as opposed to one).

Nursery Update

I have been meaning to post some photos of some things I did to the nursery about 3 months before Emy was born.  Yup, these photos are 7 months late.  Some projects I have been saving are even longer than that....OOPS!  This was the mural I painted in the nursery to add some interest to a weird corner wall in the nursery.  p.s. please don't pay attention to the mess in the photos as I was much too lazy to clean up.

One day I will post photos of the whole redone nursery....which is much cuter than the previous one.

I've got that kid...

You know the kid that always has to make everyone laugh.  Yep, that's my kid.  Trevor took Sterls to Gnomeo and Juliet and a bra lands on the gnomes head and Sterls yells as loud as he possibly can..."That Gnomie has boobies on his head!".  Everyone in the theatre laughed of course.  So when Sterls got home he told me "Mama, I was so funny! The Gnomie had boobies on his head".  Love it!

We decided that it was time to get Sterls his very own little bike.  He has been pinning for one for over a year so we have given into the little guy.  We found a place in Edmonton that can do this with a normal bike (minus the pink):
The only thing that isn't so rad about this is the cost.  It costs $1,500 plus another couple hundred for shipping.  Which seems kind of high considering the bike that we picked below retails for less than $100.  Hmmmm.....Lucky for us the Spina Bifida Association is going to catch the bill.  Whew, crisis diverted as I do not really want to spend part of my house downpayment on that little bike.  Also lucky that my husband is taking autobody and will be able to weld and create his own bike creations for Sterls next bike.
So this time next month we will have a sweet $1,700 bike for the little guy.

Our 5 Year Anniversary - 3 months late....

We decided to go to Canmore for the weekend for a mini vacation or late anniversary get away.  We intended to go 3 months ago but Emery made an early appearance (4 days before our 5th anniversary).  We took the kiddies because Emy is still solely nursing and they had a blast!

I love love love Emy's swimsuit!  She has almost grown out of it so I had to get some photos because I am mourning the loss of my favourite article of clothing on her!

My little bald beauty! She is always so happy (well when she doesn't have colic she is always happy).

Sterling loved the kiddie pool at our hotel.  We took some action shots of the little man.  Isn't that frog slide so cute? I wish more hotels catered to small children because this was the most fun Sterling has had at a hotel pool.

Both of the kids loved the pool of course, making us go half the time while we were in Canmore. We had a view of the indoor/outdoor hot tub which made it worse....Every time Sterling looked out the balcony he begged us to go to the pool.  Although the best part of the room I do believe was the steam shower...ahhhh!
